Education

Kara received her BA in Urban Studies from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul, MN with a minor in Psychology. She later went on to complete an Urban Leadership Fellowship program through the CrossPurpose Center for Urban Leadership in Denver, CO.

Experience

Kara began the first several years of her career in the non-profit sector, venturing over to education with a role as the Director of Admissions at a private K-12 school in Minneapolis. She served in that role for nearly 6 years before finding her way to Fusion Academy!

  • I enjoy cooking and hosting with friends
  • I have over 50 houseplants
  • I love going for walks around Minneapolis with my dog, a pit bull mix named Reggie
