Lisa holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature and Secondary English Education from the University of Maryland College Park and a Masters Degree in School Administration and Gifted Education from Johns Hopkins University.
Experience
Over the past 30 years, Lisa has had the privilege of working with adolescents and knows that they are spectacular, messy, passionate people who thrive when they connect with caring teachers in a safe and nurturing environment. Lisa has worked as a secondary English teacher, a librarian, a school-based and Central Office Gifted and Talented teacher, and as a personal coach specializing in anxiety and ADHD. Throughout her career in education, Lisa has held classroom and leadership positions in public, independent, and alternative schools and knows how powerful Fusion’s one-to-one model can be for the students who are not being served in traditional school settings.
Fun Facts and Hobbies
- Besides spending time with her own spectacular, messy, passionate teenage daughter and her equally spectacular dog Saffie, Lisa loves to travel as much as possible.
