Creating Affirming Spaces for LGBTQ Youth; Embracing Identity and Prioritizing Mental Wellness
Join us for a presentation on supporting and empowering LGBTQIA+ youth through a compassionate, three-step approach: listening, validating, and trusting their experiences. In this session, we will explore how these principles can help mentors, parents, mental health professionals, and educators create safer, more affirming environments for queer and trans young people. You’ll walk away with a practical toolbox of strategies to strengthen your allyship and a deeper understanding of how to show up authentically and effectively for LGBTQ+ youth.
The presentation will be followed by discussion groups and Q&A. Lunch will be provided.
