Take a dive into the fascinating world of adolescent behavioral health where Jack explores how the joint powers of intrinsic motivation and executive functioning can be combined to maximum effect. This insightful talk offers a deep dive into the complex problems faced by teens today and tangible solutions for improving outcomes. Through poignant research, evidence-based strategies, and impactful case studies, Jack offers real solutions for the adolescent behavioral health crisis. Drawing on his personal struggles, Jack begins by painting a picture of his dysfunctional teenage years. He then reviews the latest research on executive functioning and intrinsic motivation, while exploring the root of many misconceptions surrounding adolescent behavioral healthcare.  Learning Objectives:  1. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how executive functioning skills and motivation operate in the adolescent mind.   2. Participants will develop a deep understanding of the relationship between intrinsic motivation and executive functioning skills. When enacted properly, these symbiotic phenomena form a crucial junction through which young adults can develop the skills required to thrive for years to come.
