Fusion Academy Bringing Revolutionary Education Model to Palm Beach Gardens

(Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – February 15, 2022) Fusion Academy will open its doors in Palm Beach Gardens this Spring. The national leader in personalized one-to-one education offers families an accredited school for their middle and high schoolers with a model that is equally focused on academic progress and social and emotional health.

“Families experienced first-hand what works and doesn’t work for students during the pandemic,” said Jason Foreman, Fusion Academy Palm Beach Gardens Head of School. “Fusion recognizes that every student’s learning journey is uniquely their own. Our one student to one teach model differentiates us.”

Founded in San Diego, California in 1989, Fusion Academy’s approach to learning is grounded in its one-to-one model of one teacher to one student, with different teachers for different classes. Fusion Academy Palm Beach Gardens is the education provider’s third Florida campus; with two others located Miami and Boca Raton. Fusion Academy Palm Beach Gardens will be located on the second floor of 11300 Legacy Avenue.

Fusion’s model of tailoring students learning journeys according to their strengths and learning preferences ensures students master subjects at their own pace. Fusion works with students in three key areas to help them develop the self-determination they need to be successful adults in society, these areas include self-confidence, self-advocacy, and goal setting.

Fusion Academy Palm Beach Gardens will co-host Community Movie Night, Thursday, February 24 from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm EST. at the Boca Raton campus located at 5050 Conference Way North. Join us for an outdoor screening of the brand new iNDIEFLIX documentary “Like,” which covers the impact of social media on our lives. Fusion is excited to bring the community together for this screening followed by a parent/teacher/student panel discussion. Please bring your own chairs and/or blanket. Register for this event here

“Every Fusion student’s journey is different,” said Foreman. “At Fusion students build a self-awareness and acquire self-confidence that allows them to engage with learning again. We are privileged to partner with families on their student’s learning journey.”

Because student learning preferences vary, their schedules are customized so they can take classes at the optimal time of day. Athletes, actors, and students with extracurricular passions schedule school around their life instead of the other way around. Other students who attend Fusion include gifted or accelerated students, students with mild learning differences such as dyslexia, or those seeking a more personalized learning experience.

Each Fusion campus features Homework Café spaces where students complete homework before leaving for the day. The social café is also the student social hub, where student meetings occur, clubs meet, and more. Fusion campuses feature a state-of-the-art recording studio, a mixed-media art studio, and a science lab with college-level tools. Fusion Academies are intended to remain small, serve as a haven from large traditional schools, and rarely exceed 100 students. Students can attend Fusion full-time for middle and high school, part-time for tutoring, classes for credit, or college counseling. Fusion students have been accepted to more than 200 unique colleges and universities, many being their first-choice school.
